Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As the proceedings of this year’s legislative session continue to fade, I wanted to reach out one more time to say thank you for putting your trust in me to serve you in the 25th District. The 2024 session is now behind us, but several significant things happened during those 60 days.

For an in-depth recap of the biggest stories this session, please see my previous update. You can also read my end-of-session newsletter online, by clicking here.

We passed some good policies that will do positive things in Washington, but there were also many missed opportunities. As we head into this interim, there is much work to be done to help Washingtonians now, and in the years to come. Republicans entered this session with high hopes. We offered real solutions to fix Washington and the many pressing issues facing our state. Unfortunately, many of those solutions didn’t advance thanks to the majority party. Click here for a recap.

That’s why I’ll be busy throughout the interim working to make our state a better place to live for all Washingtonians. I want to increase public safety, make life more affordable for all, improve education, increase child care facilities, and hold state government accountable, among other things.

These are the issues I will be focused on during the coming months.

Election-year Restrictions

Due to election-year restrictions beginning on Monday, May 6, I am unable to send you any further email updates until after the November general election results are certified. In fact, all my legislative communications will be restricted or very limited over the next six months to comply with state ethics laws.

However, you can still reach out to me in several ways to provide your input and feedback. I am still your full-time state representative and I’m always here to listen and respond to constituents who contact me throughout the year. I invite you to email, call, or send me a letter anytime. As always, I will respond as quickly as possible.
