Rep. Cyndy Jacobsen: Fentanyl in the home endangers children’s lives
Rep. Cyndy Jacobsen, R-Puyallup, spoke on the House floor in support of changing the Keeping Families Together Act to protect children from imminent harm from serious controlled substances in the home.
She made her remarks during House floor debate on an amendment to House Bill 5998, the supplemental operating budget, to provide funding to improve the Act.
Jacobsen told the House about a 5-year-old boy in her district who died after he was returned to the home of his parents, who were both active drug users.
The majority party did not adopt the amendment.
